The name of the senator who demanded the 40 plus sheriffs remove their guns was not given to the law enforcement officials, but sheriffs across Oklahoma are obviously upset after this incident.
The sheriffs were accustomed to visiting the capital once a year as part of a meet and greet and to talk with their state lawmakers. But this time, because one of the senators (who was apparently very anti-gun) complained about the sheriffs being armed and laid down an ultimatum.
Either the sheriffs had to disarm themselves, or they have to leave. The sheriffs chose to leave.
